Fantastic Inventions: The Scooter Stroller

Inventors are sometimes seen as people “out of touch with life”. But the inventions of Valentin Vodev prove the opposite: designers and innovators can make life easier for many people, for example for mothers.

Picture an energetic mother speeding through the city on a scooter with her child. And what if the child is also peacefully asleep in the stroller? Such a picture might sound unrealistic if not for a Bulgarian, Valentin Vodev, who not long ago invented the scooter stroller.

The stroller is very stable and light, and it transforms and folds easily. It is ideal for busy mothers. You don’t need to worry about the child in the comfortable seat: it is carefully designed, tested and equipped with safety belts.

This practical invention was created by Valentin Vodev, a scientist born in Sofia who opened his studio in Vienna. Valentin holds a master’s degree from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London. His aim is design that reverses the standard logic of using things in favor of a more functional one.
