Counterfeiting and Piracy Forum: Meeting Ukraine’s Leading IP Professionals

On 19–20 April 2017, Natalia Ryazanova, founder of EXIP, took part in the II International Forum on Counterfeiting and Piracy.
The forum was held in Kyiv. Its goal was to implement reform of IP protection and of measures against the production and distribution of counterfeits, and to build a civilized Ukrainian goods market and a favorable investment climate in the country.
One of the most useful and productive parts was the presentation by representatives of Procter&Gamble, the world’s largest manufacturer of detergents, cleaning products and pharmaceuticals.
After the presentation, the group discussed the scale of counterfeit products under their most popular brands.
Overall, the International Forum on Counterfeiting and Piracy is an excellent step by the state toward solving one of the most acute problems of the modern world: counterfeiting and piracy.
